DUBAI: As part of its Full Life campaign, Deliveroo UAE has joined Emirates Red Crescent’s (ERC) “Ramadan: Continuous Giving” campaign through its in-app roundup feature.

Launched in August 2022 in the UAE, Deliveroo’s Full Life campaign is a pillar of its global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy.

The campaign was designed to support local communities across Deliveroo’s markets and tackle food insecurities around the world.

Through the in-app round-up feature available at checkout on the Deliveroo app, customers will be able to donate an amount of their choice to support the initiative.

From the first day of Ramadan, throughout the entire month, all funds raised through Deliveroo’s in-app round-up feature will be donated to Emirates Red Crescent to purchase food boxes dedicated to the Ramadan: Continuous Giving campaign.

By design, the feature encourages frequent donations without customers having to switch to another donation page. Customers will be able to round up their bill or donate an amount of their choice at checkout when placing an order on the Deliveroo app.

However, at Choithrams retail and online stores as well as on popular delivery will be able to purchase ready-to eat meals for Dhs10 and boxes of essential rations for Dhs20, to be donated to UAE Food Bank. Additionally, proceeds from the sale will be handed over to Dubai Cares to ensure school meals are provided to hundreds of children in vulnerable communities. Abdulla Ahmed Alshehhi, Chief Operating Officer at Dubai Cares, said, “Choithrams has walked with Dubai Cares since its inception, and now with the “Double Blessings” campaign, we write a new chapter in our journey.
