VIRTUAL SCHOOLING

Online schooling was made necessary because of the pandemic. While it helped children continue with their scholastic requirements, it created its own issues (“The challenges of online learning for children,” July 27, Gulf Today).

Some of the students atending virtual classes have been suffered eyesight issues, obesity, stress related issues etc. Online schooling has also robbed students to recreational and sports activities which is crucial for holistic growth of a student.

The virus is still in the air, but it’s time school administrations revert to in-school learning, of course following health safety protocols. Virtual schooling has served its purpose.
