Over 300 doctors from Aster honoured with Golden Visa

The Golden Visa was presented to 319 Aster doctors along with their family members, taking the total number of granted Golden Visas to 750+

Around 319 doctors from Aster DM Healthcare’s network of Aster and Medcare hospitals and clinics in the UAE have been awarded the Golden Visa long-term residency for their continued contribution to the field of medicine and healthcare services. Being one of the largest integrated healthcare players in the GCC and a UAE originated healthcare brand, Aster DM Healthcare has been playing a pivotal role in making international standards of quality healthcare services locally available in the country over the last 34 years. Many of the awarded Aster doctors have been serving patients in the UAE for more than a decade.

Padma Shri awardee Dr. Azad Moopen had been honoured with the Golden Visa in 2019, one of the first Indian entrepreneurs in the UAE to receive the prestigious long-term residency as a recognition of his phenomenal role in shaping the healthcare delivery domain in the UAE over the last 34 years. Following this, Alisha Moopen, Deputy Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, was also honoured with the Golden Visa for her continued contribution to the field of healthcare in the UAE.

Starting from a single clinic in Dubai in 1987, Aster DM Healthcare has evolved into an international conglomerate of 365 units with 27 hospitals, 115 clinics and 223 pharmacies spread across 7 countries. With an employee strength of 21,900, out of which 2,900+ are doctors and 6,500+ are nurses, Aster DM Healthcare is pushing forth to make quality healthcare affordable and accessible for people across the world.

Recently, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, The Department of Economic Development (DED) organised the 27th Annual Dubai Business Excellence Awards, to recognise outstanding pursuit of excellence in business practices in 2021, through a virtual event.

The 200+ pharmacies spread across the UAE were evaluated across several performance indicators, including Health and Safety, Appearance, Policy & Standards, Service Delivery, Staff Efficiency, Cash Counters, Happiness Meter, and Facilities for People of Determination. COVID-19 safety measures were an important evaluation criterion this year and being a healthcare provider, Aster Pharmacy always placed the safety of its customers first.
