Lebanese singer Myriam Fares gets Golden Visa

DUBAI: Lebanese singer Myriam Fares joins the growing number of UAE’S Golden Visa holders. The star made the announcement on her Instagram handle with pictures of her with the Dubai skyline as a backdrop.

The pictures she posted were from her last concert in Abu Dhabi.

The 38-year-old singer expressed her pride in this honour and thanked the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority.

The Lebanese captioned her pictures: “I am very proud and honoured to receive the honour of golden residency from my second country, the United Arab Emirates.

“All thanks to the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai, and all thanks and respect to this generous country, Rulers and people,” she added.

Earlier, Egyptian artist and husband Ahmed Al Awadi announced the release of his actress wife Yasmin Abdulaziz from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The star also received a UAE Golden Visa.

Al Awadi announced that his wife had let the intensive care unit, referring to the beginning of her recovery, calling everyone to pray for her recovery.

The artist wrote on Facebook, “Thank God, Yasmine is out of intensive care unit. But the instructions of the treating doctors prohibits any visits for two weeks as the case is under severe medical care ... until the condition stabilises... I apologise for not responding, but please forgive me…”

Thank you all for your prayers for her, your good feelings and your love for her... Pray for her, may God keep her safe...”

The Egyptian actress slipped into a coma due to a medical error during a surgery recently. She was transferred to the intensive care unit in a hospital.

Wael Abdelaziz, Yasmin’s brother, revealed, through his Facebook account that Abdel Fatah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, sent an integrated medical team to follow up on her condition and supervise the doctors who performed the operation.

Veteran Bollywood actor Sanjay Dut also got the UAE’S 10 years’ Golden Visa. The actor took to his Twiter account to make the announcement.

“Honoured to have received a Golden Visa from the UAE in the presence of Major General Mohammed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai. Thanking him along with the UAE government for the honour,” he tweeted.

The actor also thanked Hamad Obaidalla, COO of flydubai, for his support.
